Multiplication by 11

Hi friends,
Today's topic is multiplying a two digit number with 11 in fraction of seconds.
Consider xy as a number
    Xy ×11

The answer will be a three digit number.
The first digit is x
The second digit is (x+y)
The third digit is y

For example,
13×11=143
Here 4 is the sum of x and y

Another example which involves carry

48×11
Solution:
The last digit is for sure 8
The middle digit is the sum of 4 and 8 which is 12
Therefore, 2 is the middle digit of the answer and the 1 (in 12) is carried to the first digit.
The first digit is already 4  and now 1 is carried forward. Thus the first digit becomes 5(4+1)

The final answer is 528

This can be done in few seconds with more practice. This can  save time in your calculation.
We can see more tricks in our next blogs.
Thank you
